Inside Out Yoga

A blend of Iyengar and Ashtanga styles, this all levels class invites inner exploration as well as a fun and engaging asana practice with contemporary music.  Seasoned yogis and newcomers are all welcome.  Different ways of doing each yoga form (pose) will be offered. Of course, you're welcome to come try a class as our guest. 

 

Perfect Barre

Tone and shape your body faster than anything else!!  Challenging?  You bet.  It's tough, but the pay-off is amazing.  Tone your arms, shrink your waist, lift your seat and taper your thighs.  We use weights, dancers' barre work, a bit of yoga and Pilates along with moves you'll find only in Perfect Barre.

 
Live Big Yoga
 
If you are a person with a bigger body ... this class is made for you! Live Big Yoga will provide you with tools that will help build strength, flexibility, and confidence... not just physically. but also mentally. Whether you are inviting change in your body and have felt a little left out of enjoying the amazing benefits of yoga...or you're here to celebrate you as you are with others of similar size and shapes, you'll feel right at home. If you've never had a yoga class or if you are an experienced yogi... come home to Live Big Yoga.

Yoga for Chronic Pain
Whether you have Fibromyalgia, Regional Pain Syndrome, Reflex Sympathetic Dsytrophy... or any kind of chronic pain, this yoga can help you. Yoga for chronic pain works on your overall health and mood through movement (very subtle where necessary) and visualization, and also teaches you pain management through breathing techniques and a mental focus practice. This was developed by Leslie Shipley when she was confined to a wheelchair with severe chronic pain for well over a year due to an injury that triggered RSD. This yoga became an important aid to her recovery and her improved mental outlook.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga 

If you have seen combat or have experienced hurt or violence, you can benefit from Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY) is informed by research and developed by yoga teachers and clinicians who have expertise in trauma related issues. It offers a specific protocol that is prescriptive to Trauma... and can increase interoceptive awareness and help self-regulation

All levels welcomed. No yoga experience required. 

 

Change of Heart 

Class emphasis is on postures, breath work and meditation to specifically support and improve cardiovascular health. This is for anyone with existing heart conditions, and those at high risk for developing heart disease. Those seeking a gentle "heart-focused" practice also welcome and encouraged!

All levels welcomed. No yoga experience required. 

 

Cancer Recovery Yoga 

Class emphasis is on supporting our immune and nervous systems through postures and breath work that alleviate stress, restore vitality and build stamina. Special focus on meditation to quiet the mind and rejuvenate the spirit. Appropriate for those recovering from cancer as well as those currently receiving treatment.

All levels welcomed. No yoga experience required.
