"Each day I'm grateful that I get to stand in front of a room full of people who let me help them become happier. What’s better than that? "
Leslie Shipley
When I first began my yoga path the big boom was still 20 years away. My teaching began 25 years ago in homeless shelters and domestic violence centers volunteering just a few hours a week. Now, I realize that this small contribution added up to 5000 hours. I share this only to remind you that your practice and Seva is not about the big stuff...a small bit of you given to service makes a huge impact on the world and on your own life and learning.
My teacher, Swami Kriyananda was my first and the most important teacher. I began my learning with him in Chicago in the mid 80s. Over my 40 years of study and practice I've been blessed to learn from several amazing teachers such as Becky Love, Nichala Joy Devi, Linda Light, Tom Kelly, Tim Miller, Roger Cole, Ganga Ji and others.
